Devo Isaiah 44:21-23
Whether it is those who regret how they’ve treated gay folks in the past, or if it is those who regret decisions and behaviors they found destructive, or any other sin that is applicable, PS 44:21-23 tells us that God made us and will not forget us. God sweeps away our offenses and sins. God has redeemed us so that our sin-debt to God and others is canceled. This is great news (gospel) and worthy of celebrating.
With that cleansing comes a request from God: “return to the One Who redeemed you”. We are God’s and our acknowledgment of our Creator should cause us to want to be in close communion with the Author of Life.
